Pursuant to article 118 of the “Typical Provisions on Higher Professional Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan” and Articles 33, 53 of the “Tajik national University” changes are made in the structure of the University in terms of the establishment of the faculty from 01.09.2015 on the basis of the Medical – Pharmacy Faculty was formed the Faculty of Medicine.

Short information about the medical faculty departments
- “Therapy” department – Executing the duties of the head of department – Nazarov Parviz Yusupovich. There are 2 candidates of medical sciences and 9 assistants working at this department. This department is located on the basis of the health complex “Istiqlol” in Dushanbe city and also at the State Institution “Republican clinical Center of professional diseases”.
Disciplines studied at the department: internal medicine, teaching the basics of internal medicine, field military medicine, cardiology, occupational diseases, military medicine, clinical skills and neurology courses.
- “Family Medicine” department – Executing the duties of the head of department – Qadamalieva Munira Davlyatalievna The department employs 8 teachers and staff, of which two employees are candidates of medical sciences, 6 assistants and one laboratory assistant. This department is located on the basis of the health complex “Istiqlol” in Dushanbe city. This department began its work in September 2022.
Disciplines studied at the department: family medicine, pediatrics, teaching the basics of children’s diseases, oriental medicine, clinical toxicology, clinical skills course.
- “Surgery No.1” department – 5 teachers are working at this department. There are 2 Doctors of medical sciences, 3 candidates of medical sciences and 4 assistants. This department is located on the basis of the health complex “Istiqlol” in Dushanbe city. Executing the duties of the head of department doctor of medical sciences professor Polvonov Shukrullo Boboevich.
Disciplines studied at the department: general surgery, surgical diseases, endo-surgery, combined traumatology, ophthalmology, traumatology, orthopedics and Oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- “Surgery No. 2” department – 8 teachers are working at this department. There are 5 candidates of medical sciences and 3 assistants. The department is located on the basis of the health complex “Istiqlol” in Dushanbe city. The head of department candidates of medical sciences – Yuldoshov Murodali Arabovich.
Disciplines studied at the department: topographic anatomy, urology, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology and reanimatology, otorhinolaryngology, oncology, oral and maxillofacial surgery and sports medicine.
- “Obstetrics and gynecology” department – 8 teachers and staff work at the department. There are 2 professors, 2 candidates of medical sciences, 3 assistants and 1 laboratory assistant. The department is located on the basis of the State Institution “Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of Tajikistan” in Dushanbe city.
Disciplines studied at the department: Obstetrics – gynecology, endocrinology, medical genetics.
- “Morphological” department – the head of department – assistant professor Kholbekov Asliddin Jumaevich. The department employs 1 teachers and staff, of which 2 employees are candidates of biological sciences, 6 assistants and 1 laboratory assistant. The department is located in the educational building No. 3A of the University.

- “Pathologic physiology and pathologic anatomy with forensic science” department- the head of department assistant professor Nuraliev Mahmadali Dusmurodovich. The department employs 7 teachers and staff, of which 3 employees are candidates of medical sciences, 4 assistants and 1 laboratory assistant. The department is located in the educational building No. 3A of the University.
Disciplines studied at the department: pathological anatomy, pathological physiology, forensic science, dermatovenerologyical diseases.
- “Epidemiology and infectious diseases” department. Executing the duties of the head of department doctor of medical sciences Odinaev Niyoz Safarovich. 14 teachers and staff work at this department- 3 professor, 2 candidates of medical sciences, 1 senior lecturer, 9 assistants and 1 laboratory assistant. The department is located in the educational building No. 3A of the university.
Disciplines studied at the department: epidemiology, infectious diseases, child’s infectious diseases, general health care, public health, phthisiology, economics and health care management, and pharmaceutical health care.
- “Functional diagnostics and clinical laboratory” department department of the faculty is located on the second floor of the educational building No. 3A of the university and the health complex “Istiqlol” it is headed by candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Karimova Oltinoy Abdusalomovna. The department employs 1 candidates of medical sciences, 7 assistants and 1 laboratory assistant.
Disciplines studied at the department: clinical laboratory diagnostics, radiology, clinical biochemistry, pathology, functional diagnostics, blood test and clinical skills.
- “Fundamentals of medical training and life safety” department. – head of the department, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Gafurov Safarkhon Jurakhonovich. The department is located on the third floor of the educational building No. 3 of TNU, the department employs 1 candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, 1 candidate of medical sciences, 1 senior teacher, and 2 assistants.
Disciplines studied at the department: basic disciplines of medical training, civil defense, medical psychology, the foundations of social medicine and the history of medicine.
- “Microbiology and virusology” department is located on the third floor of the educational building No. 3A of the university, the head of the department is candidate of medical sciences Bozorova Rukhshona Sayfuddinovna. The department employs 1 candidates of medical sciences, 1 post graduate, 1 senior lecturer and 4 assistants.
Disciplines studied at the department: microbiology and specialty virology, cosmetic microbiology, general medical microbiology and microbiology.
- Department of “Human Anatomy” is located on the first floor of the educational building No. 3A of the university. The head of the department is assistant Abdurahimov Rustam Miralievich. The department has 1 associate professor, 1 candidates of medical sciences, 3 assistants and one laboratory assistant.

- Department of “curative stomatology”. The department has 1 associate professor 6 assistants and one laboratory assistant. The department is located on the fifth-floor educational building No. 17 of the university. – Executing the duties of the head of department – candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Homidova Tufaniso Marufovna. The department has 1 candidates of medical sciences, 11 assistants.
Disciplines studied at the department: curative stomatology, propaedeutic of dental diseases, pediatric stomatology, stomatology.
- Orthopedics and Oral and maxillofacial surgery department. There are 3 teachers working at the department. Executing the duties of the head of department – Egamove Shahnoza Bahriddinovna. The department is located on the fifth-floor educational building No. 17 of the university.
Disciplines studied at the department: orthopedic stomatology, maxillofacial surgery, materials science, propaedeutic of surgical diseases, orthopedic propaedeutic and prosthetic methods.
